Sister Mary Corita Kent was a Roman Catholic nun, artist, educator, and advocate for social justice. She worked almost exclusively with screenprints (serigraphy, silkscreens) with "the aim of making her art more affordable for the masses...Her artwork, with its messages of love and peace, was popular during the social upheavals of the 1960s and 1970s."
