Jessica Walsh is a renowned American designer, art director, illustrator, and educator. Known for her vibrant and experimental design work, she has made a significant impact on the design industry. Early Life and Career


Born on October 30, 1986, in New York City, Walsh's passion for design began early. She taught herself coding and web design at the age of 11 and later attended the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD). After graduating, she worked at renowned design firms such as Pentagram and Sagmeister & Walsh.  

Partnership with Stefan Sagmeister

In 2010, Walsh partnered with Stefan Sagmeister to form the design studio Sagmeister & Walsh. Their collaboration resulted in a series of groundbreaking projects, including the highly acclaimed "400 Days of Dating Myself." This experimental project documented Walsh's journey of self-discovery and personal growth through design. The book, which features a vibrant and eclectic visual style, has become a cult classic among designers and creative professionals.  

In 2019, Walsh founded her own creative agency, &Walsh. This move allowed her to pursue her own creative vision and work on a diverse range of projects, from branding and advertising to editorial design and illustration. &Walsh is known for its innovative approach to design, often combining traditional techniques with digital tools to create visually striking and impactful work.

Her project "Let's Talk About Mental Health" is an initiative that encourages open conversations about mental health issues.
