Poster depicts a 12th century stave church from Gol, which is one of the main attractions at the Norwegian Museum of Cultural History in Oslo. Moved and rebuilt in 1880, the stave church derives its name from the building's "post and lintel construction, a type of timber framing where the load-bearing ore-pine posts are called 'stafr' in Old Norse ('stav' in modern Norwegian)."
