This poster shows an image from neurologist Guillaume-Benjamin Duchenne and photographer Adrien Tournachon's 1862 book Mecanisme de la Physionomie Humaine (The Mechanism of Human Physiognomy), with a Transfield Pty Ltd caption on an electroshock machine.
